We last mentioned Two Cathedral Square to you nearly 2 years ago when One Cathedral Square was going through the Civic Design Review (CDR) process. Since then, One Cathedral Square has broken ground and has risen high into the sky. We’ll have to do an update on that project in the near future, but if you’ve walked down the Parkway recently, you’ve likely seen it.
Anyway, we have some major updates on Two Cathedral Square. In the CDR packet for One Cathedral Square, we saw a massing for Two Cathedral Square with a height of 685 feet mentioned. It looks like the building’s height has been significantly downsized, but the building’s proposed design makes up for its vertical loss.
The new project renderings depict a glass towner with bronze accents and curves throughout the facade. The building will rise 470 feet over 34 stories. The top 20 stories will be composed of 250,000 square feet of residential space. The unit count has not been released to date. There will also be 450,000 square feet of office space over 12 stories and an additional 4,500 square feet of retail space. The building will be topped by a 15,700 square foot roof deck and will include multiple other outdoor terraces throughout the structure.
The office space is currently being marketed for lease.
We think this building looks amazing and are excited to see it move forward as planned. No zoning permits have been issued to date, but we assume we will get more information about the development as it moves through the entitlement process.
How do you feel about this design? Would you like to live or work right on the Parkway?
