There have been a ton of mixed-use and multifamily buildings constructed on and surrounding Ridge Avenue in Roxborough in recent years. As we mentioned before, there are a handful more that have been entitled and will likely be built in the near future.
Today, we bring you another project that is in the pipeline along Ridge Avenue in Roxborough. Developers are planning on constructing a 5-story, 77,780 square foot building with 80 residential units, a 2,200 square foot commercial space, 24 automobile parking spots, and 27 bicycle stalls on the 26,306 square foot CMX-2.5 zoned parcel at 6808-16 Ridge Avenue. The property historically held two small, mixed-use twins. Those buildings have already been demolished.
The planned building will be clad in brick, limestone, stone, and cement board. It will be topped by a green roof and a roof deck. No zoning or construction permits have been issued for the project to date, but it can proceed by-right without a variance. The development team is scheduled to meet with the non-binding Cvic Design Review (CDR) in May.
It’s great to see additional residential density and a large commercial space added along this section of Ridge Avenue. How do you feel about the project? What kind of business would you like to see open in the commercial space?
